Top Dog

My name is Jill and I own and run Kelso and Titch. Having lived in Africa for many years, I struggled to find treats and biscuits for my dog and the ones I did find were often overpriced, stale and infested with insects! So, as a cake decorator and keen baker, I decided to put my skills into action and bake my own dog treats.
Unlike standard mass produced treats, Kelso and Titch treats are handmade using only natural human grade ingredients. I don't add any salt, sugar, artificial colours or flavours. These actually taste so good that I'm tempted to eat them myself, but I wouldn't like to deprive my pooch!
We are fully insured and are registered with our local Trading Standards Office. We are also a Scottish Government approved Pet Food Plant in accordance with (EC) Regulation 1069/2009 (Approval number 76/338/8203/ABP/PTF). All of our handmade dog treats comply with UK and EU feed regulations and have, in accordance, been independently tested by a UKAS accredited Food Test Laboratory for Nutritional Analysis.
Our products are given a batch number for full traceability and labelled accordingly, giving you the peace of mind that you can purchase from us with confidence.

Chief Tester
This is our chief tester Kelso. She is an 8 year old Africanis and was adopted by us from our neighbours in Luanda, Angola when they left the country. She travelled with us back to the UK in the summer of 2014 and is now very much enjoying her new, if a little cold, life in Scotland.
With her interesting start in life and subsequent move to another continent, she has a few socialisation and fear issues to deal with but nothing we can't work through together. In the meantime, Kelso loves to taste all the new flavours of treats and acts as our Chief Taster and Quality Control Manager. I would like to say she has a favourite flavour, but I'm fairly certain she loves them all equally! |
Pack Members

This is Claire. She's our newest pack member, joining us in September 2017. We knew she was right for the job when she told us she's met Ken Bruce of BBC Radio 2. Claire keeps us right with orders, bagging, cracker making (she's a dab hand at a Christmas cracker) and general production. All this, while playing PopMaster and keeping us up to date with the latest makeup trends.

This is Heather. Heather is Kelso's big sister, biggest fan and best friend. As soon as she clapped eyes on Kelso in the garden next door, she instantly fell in love with her. When not mooching in the kitchen for food, Kelso can often be found curled up on Heather's bed keeping it warm while Heather is away at university.

This is Margaret, AKA Mum, Nana, Wee Mags, Daisy, Peggy.......! When she's not helping us out in the kitchen she can be found at line dancing, church, reading newspapers for the blind, at various social clubs, modelling for her grand-daughter, or out walking her wee Maltese Finlay. This woman seriously never stops. And yes, her hair is pink! She is also our resident favourite human being.
Who is Titch?

The company is named after my dogs who were both brought to the UK from Africa. Sadly Titch is no longer with us as the evacuation from his native Libya in 2011 and subsequent 6 months quarantine proved too much for his state of mind. We will never forget him.
